SWAG members have been getting involved in the current dig happening at Greenwich Park. This is a three week dig near the Roman Temple involving general volunteers and students from UCL. Over the course of the dig a series of evaluation trenches will be excavated, across geophys anomalies, earthworks and other landscape features. Hopefully this will all add to a picture of the wider Roman landscape of the Park.

Others SWAG members joined a field trip, arranged by Frank Bereford, to search for the Paleolithic along the river Stour.

Please note that due to other fieldwork commitments, we are pausing digging at Shorne till early June, although finds and flint sessions will continue as normal on Thursdays and Fridays.
