Anglo-Saxon Kent: old and new discoveries

A day of lectures on the topic of Anglo-Saxon Kent is being held by the Kent Archaeological Society on Sat 31 October 2015, from 10 am to 5 pm. The lectures will be held at:

Rutherford College,

Lecture Theatres 1 and 2,

University of Kent

Canterbury, CT2 7NX.

Talks will cover Anglo-Saxon finds in the Kent Archaeological Society collection; the settlement at Church Whitfield and colonisation of the east Kent downs; thought’s on St Augustine’s landing place; the Meads cemetery, Sittingbourne; discoveries at Lyminge; and St Peter’s cemetery, Thanet.

Tickets £20 (KAS members £15)  includes tea/coffee.
