Sittingbourne dig coming up

An excavation at Rose Hill, Sittingbourne, is coming up. The event will be launched at the Heritage Hub on Saturday 10th September (10am to 3pm), with the Mayor of Swale attending at 2pm.

There are also six dig dates for the diary, each day (10am – 4pm):

Friday 23rd September

Saturday 24th September

Sunday 25th September

Friday 30th September

Saturday 1st October

Sunday 2nd October

Whether you’ve dug before or a complete beginner you’ll be made most welcome.  It is a wonderful opportunity to take part in a community archaeological excavation please let us know which days you would like to come along, so we can ensure we have sufficient equipment and insurance. There will be no charge to become involved as this project.
